Reviews for Dennis' book, Sweeping It Under The Drug?

"A carefully reasoned argument against drug use that goes further than telling people to "just say no"--it offers real help for people who want to break free of the bondage of drugs."
Dr. John MacArthur Jr., popular Christian author, radio minister, pastor, Grace Community Church, Sun Valley, CA (where Dennis was a counselor and attended Bible college)

"I highly recommend the reading of this book as an understanding guide for all of the 12 step recovery programs. It gave me greater insight into my need for continuous spiritual development in order to maintain quality sobriety and peace of mind."
Gloria Montgomery, Chairperson of ALL/ANON GROUP. Founder of RECOVERY SYSTEMS

Dennis Marcellino yielded to the peer pressures to drink and use drugs, especially having been in the music industry for many years. But he ended up finding out that using drugs was VERY dangerous...and even a hindrance if an optimum life on this planet is what was desired. But this understanding that led to being more and more in tune with nature and its Creator started seeing how not only chemical drugs were being used to avoid the messages, movements and inSpirations of the Holy Spirit within, but many other things were also used to keep us from seeing and following the whispering voice of God within us (e.g. television, food, constant busyness, friends, work, etc.). But he didn't get that understanding until after going through 21 different approaches to lifestyle and personal growth (therefore he understands why only Christianity has the permanent solution to an alcohol or drug problem).

His desire to get these understandings out into a public that was continually crying out for a solution to alcoholism and the drug problems that it and many of its citizens were having resulted in the first book on the market regarding the drug problem entitled Sweeping It Under The Drug (and how to have a greater life without them). He says that this book has the natural root solution for the drug problem (as opposed to band-aid treatments of the symptoms). Drugs are a dangerous path for thrill seekers and medicine for the heart. Therefore if a person wants to permanently end a drug problem, they must first resolve their heart problems (which includes why they would consider such a dangerous path as drugs). This includes reconnecting with their Creator and His ways, knowing how to be high naturally, and knowing why religion is necessary to eliminate demand. This book has been highly acclaimed and recommended by many top professionals in the addiction/recovery industry. It is also greatly endorsed by people who have become EX-drug-users (no longer recovering ones) because of this book and the Addiction Free Forever book and program that it has evolved to (including the author, who used for 18 years and has been addiction free for 24 years).

Dennis is also a former member of some of the top bands of the 1960's and '70s including The Tokens (the band who once had the hit, "The Lion Sleeps Tonight"), Sly & The Family Stone, The Elvin Bishop Group and Rubicon (who closed the largest paid ticket event in history). He has been a guest star on many television shows and scored and performed the music for a number of movies. His current CDs can be heard at

Presentation Includes:
- Getting a super clear overview of life, the meaning behind it, and the best way to respond to it
- Knowing how drugs end up interferring with the Holy Spirit's attempts to naturally bring us to higher states and deep fulfillment
- Knowing what's missing from the current mainstream culture that often drives people to use (chemical and non-chemical) drugs
- Knowing how to be immune from the culture, be in higher states naturally, and why religious maturity is critical to achieving these
- Knowing how religious maturity not only takes away the demand for drugs (even to the point of giving us such a high state of sensitivity that drugs become repulsive), but it also gives our life great direction and purpose

Speaking Testimonials

"Great Job! Great Ministry!&quo t;
Peter Herrmann, Christian Professional and Business Breakfast Club, Modesto, CA

"Dennis' message comes from a unique perspective. He speaks from authority, in effect saying, 'I've tried everything and nothing makes one happy with oneself but a reasoned, logical realization that the God of the Bible is who He says He is, His rules are for our benefit, and I will be happier when I observe His rules'. Thought provoking and well accepted." > Larry Everson, Program Coordinator, Bonneville Power (a Federal agency)

"Your speech was perfect!... combining humor, practical information, entertainment and a LOT of inspiring wisdom.&quo> t;
Suzanne Sivyer, Event Coordinator, Wilsonville Council of Churches

Reviews for Dennis' book, Why Are We Here?

"This is a very important book that is greatly needed at this time. I agree that the Bible should be the ultimate resource for life and living and that the world could greatly benefit from being logically and scientifically shown that this is true.&qu ot;
Mark Victor Hansen, World-renowned speaker, and Co-author of New York Times #1 Best-Selling Chicken Soup For The Soul series

"Dennis Marcellino has the answer. Actually, with an education that ranges from science and engineering to theology and psychology, Marcellino has many answers. But in his new book, Why Are We Here?, he chooses to answer the one question that has puzzled intellectuals for centuries." Laura Gunderson, Clackamas Review

"In using science to explore what is usually an emotionally charged subject, Marcellino provides a strong fact-based philosophical approach which is compelling.&quo t;
